Roadrunner Stained Glass Panel
I made this panel from glass that has a story before it ever touched my hands.
The wavy glass framing the roadrunner is 150 years old — salvaged from a farmhouse in Comfort, Texas. The sun is half of a mouth-blown rondel. The prickly pear bloom petals pressed into the corners came from my yard. Many of the surrounding pieces are salvaged from a retired stained glass artist's barn or discontinued glass that no longer exists anywhere else.
The roadrunner is mine — my design, my cut, my solder. But the materials came from Texas, from history, from people who loved this craft before me.
27¾" wide, 17" high. Currently displayed in my own window using U-channel. It fits a standard window opening beautifully but will need a custom display plan for your space — and that's included in the price.
Every purchase includes a conversation about how you want to live with this piece. I can finish it with hanging hardware, chains, or custom brackets depending on your wall, window, or display situation. Shipping or local delivery is also included. What's not included is installation, but I'll make sure you have everything you need to get it where it belongs.
There is one. This is it.
Found, saved, transformed. Tender Loving Care.
